Below is a press release with all the information folks will need to see a great songwriter round happening at Concord Community Church of the Nazarene in Brentwood, Tennessee Saturday February 27. Plan on attending if you can! It's going to be a fun night!
A pair of Grammy nominated songwriters and an international pop/folk artist will perform a songwriters night at Concord Community Church of the Nazarene, 7 - 9PM Feb. 27, to benefit the church's youth summer mission trip. Billy Montana, Steven Dale Jones and Michael Logen will sit in the center of a sanctuary that will be transformed to present a coffee house atmosphere for the evening. The admission price of $10.00 will cover the show, delicious homemade desserts and coffee, tea or lemonade.
Billy Montana has penned three #1 country records: Garth Brooks' “More Than A Memory,” Sara Evans' “Suds In The Bucket,” and Jo Dee Messina's Grammy nominated hit “Bring On the Rain,” which also reached #6 on the R & R Adult Contemporary chart in 2002. “Suds In The Bucket” was country radio's most-performed song by a female artist in 2004, and “More Than A Memory” is the only song in country music history to enter the Billboard and R & R charts at #1. Montana has also had his songs recorded by Martina McBride, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Lee Ann Womack, Kenny Rogers, and many others.
Steven Dale Jones is best known for his hits “One More Day” (Diamond Rio), “He Gets That From Me” (Reba McEntire), and “Ten Thousand Angels” (Mindy McCready). Jones, a Finance major from Auburn University, is originally from Muscle Shoals, AL, but has been writing songs and living in the Music City for many years. George Strait, Alabama, Randy Travis, Trace Adkins, Eddy Arnold, and Englebert Humperdinck are just a few of the many artists who've recorded Jones' incredible songs.
Pennsylvania native Michael Logen grew up in a Mennonite household and began playing piano at age 6, guitar at age 8, and began performing at 13. He moved to Nashville shortly after graduating high school to pursue his dream of making music his profession. Logen graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2004 and signed a publishing deal with Combustion Music. Since that time, he's been writing, traveling and performing, opening shows for John Legend, Jonny Lang and Sister Hazel.
