Wow! I haven't checked in since last year! Well, I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and a great New Year celebration! My family and I got in some great hang time, and now we're all back to our routines.
Dec. 13th, I played at a really great event in Falcon, CO at Gathering Stones Community Falcon Church. The evening was completely dedicated to saying "thank you" to military personnel and their families for their service, dedication and sacrifice. Gifts were presented to children of servicemen and women, there were homemade cookies, coffee, lemonade and tea. While I performed songs, Burton Hands, an incredibly talented artist, had his canvas set up on the other side and the stage and created a beautiful painting that captured the spirit of the night! Fantastic! You can see some of Burt's work at www.burtonhandsfineart.com .
Last weekend, singer/songwriter Victoria Banks and I performed in Roswell, GA at the Swallow at the Hollow. Both Friday and Saturday nights were outstanding. It was the first time Victoria and I had done a show together, but it won't be the last!
I woke up this morning in Rosemary Beach, FL after a performance at the Town Hall last night with Nicole Witt, Brian White, Pete Sallis, and Fred Wilhelm. Several songwriters are in town this weekend for the Route 30a Songwriters Festival, and judging by attendance and reviews, this first year event is going to have to happen annually! Outstanding venues and performances! More today and tomorrow, too . . . which reminds me . . . I'd better get going! There are a couple of shows I want to catch before I perform again late this afternoon.
I'll catch up with y'all in a bit! Blessings!
